শুধু প্রধানমন্ত্রী ডা.লোটে শেরিংই নন, ভুটানের বিদেশ মন্ত্রী ডা. তান্ডি দরজিও ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেলের ২৪তম ব্যাচের মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী।
এখানেই শেষ নয়, এবারে 'দ্বিতীয় আবাস ' বালাদেশ সফরে আসা ভুটান রাষ্ট্রীয় দলের আরেক সম্মানিত সদস্য ও রাজপরিবারের চিকিৎসক অধ্যাপক ডা. ফুরব দরজিও ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেলের ২৪ ব্যাচের ; তার স্ত্রী ডা. রুপা দরজিও ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল। প্রধানমন্ত্রী লোটে শেরিং হলেন ২৮ ব্যাচের।
এবারে ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল সফরে তারা সকলেই আসেন এবং সহপাঠিদের সঙ্গে আনন্দ করেন।

Tandi Dorji (Dzongkha: རྟ་མགྲིན་རྡོ་རྗེ་; born c. 1968) is a Bhutanese politician who has been Foreign Minister for Bhutan since November 2018. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Bhutan, since October 2018.

Political career
Before entering politics, he was a pediatrician, public health researcher and a technical advisor.

Dorji is a founding member and former president of the Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa. He was participated in 2008 and 2013 elections.[9] He was elected to the National Assembly of Bhutan in the 2018 elections for the Lingmukha Toedwang constituency. He received 3,154 votes and defeated Sonam Wangyel Wang, a candidate of DPT.

On 3 November, Lotay Tshering formally announced his cabinet structure and Tandi was named as Foreign Minister for Bhutan. On 7 November 2018, he was sworn in as Foreign Minister for Bhutan in the cabinet of Prime Minister Lotay Tshering.

Brief Professional History:
One of the most precious jewels of Bhutanese Health system with very strong moral and ethical principles. He worked selflessly for nearly 20 years in improving the maternal and child health in Bhutan with numerous innovative initiatives.
He is First fetomaternal specialist of Bhutan.
If we go on to list his achievements the space provided would be too less.

Just to mention few here;

1. First Chairman of Research Ethics Board for Health(REBH). Now Bhutan has better research ethics than most of the countries in the region.

2. First Chief Editor of Bhutan Health Journal. The first of its kind in the country and going forward in a strong fashion.

3. Founding Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine. By far I personally feel this is most important contribution to Bhutan's dream for medical college. Without his heart and dedication we wouldn't have achieved, what we have achieved today after 3 years of starting of Postgraduate program in Bhutan.

4. He is busy researcher with numerous publications and latest one is a study on " prevalence of GDM in Bhutanese Women".

5. A true academician, ever willing to share all he knows to young students and trainees without a hesitations.
He would often say" you should try to make your students a mirror image of yourself".
He is respected and loved by colleagues and students in equal measures.

Dr.Phurb Dorji is one in million kind of jewel and a class apart.
