বাংলাদেশের প্রথিতযশ গাইনি চিকিৎসক অধ্যাপক ডা. রোকসানা আইভি  আর নেই।
গতকাল তিনি মারা গেছেন। তিনি সোহরাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের
Obstetrics & Gynecology বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ছিলেন। চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজের ২২তম ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থী ছিলেন।
বাংলাদেশের বরেণ্য গাইনি চিকিৎসক অধ্যাপক ডা. রোকসানা আইভি র মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক ও সমবেদনা জানিয়েছেন
বিএসএমএমইউর মনোরোগ বিদ্যার প্রফেসর (সিএমসি ২৮) ডা. সুলতানা আলগিন । শোকবার্তায় তিনি বলেন,
তাঁর পরিবার সদস্য , সহকর্মী এবং শুভানুধ্যায়ীসহ সকলের সঙ্গে সমব্যথী হয়ে তাঁর মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক ও সমবেদনা জানাই।তিনি ছিলেন একজন সৎ চিকিৎসক ও ভালো মানুষ। গাইনির একজন দেশ সেরা চিকিৎসক। একজন মমতাময়ী মায়ের মত রোগীসেবী চিকিৎসক। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে বাংলাদেশের চিকিৎসক জগতে গভীর শূণ্যতা সৃষ্টি হল।

তাঁর মৃত্যুতে স্বজন মনিকা বেগ এক মর্মস্পর্শী শোকলিপি লিখেছেন। সেটি পত্রস্থ হল।
"A Heartbreaking Farewell
I cannot believe that I am writing another obituary within just three days…
Professor Dr. Roksana Ivy, my first cousin, is no more - accepting this reality is almost impossible.
After a long and courageous battle with lung cancer, Ivy Apa has left us forever, just three days after her mother (my Chhoto Mami) passed away. It feels as if she knew that her mother would be devastated if she left first, so she waited - letting her mother go before her. This unbearable sequence of events is heartbreaking.
Ivy Apa’s passing is not just an immeasurable loss to our family but to the entire society. As a renowned professor and obstetrician-gynecologist (OBG), she helped bring countless babies into this world, bringing joy to their mothers. Her compassion, her unwavering dedication to her patients, and her relentless service made her not just a doctor but a pillar of support and hope for so many.
She was the sweetest, most loving presence in our family - always with a smile, always patient, always giving. No matter how busy she was with her profession, she was always there for family members in times of need. Her warmth, her kindness, and her ever-reliable presence will forever be missed.
Her greatest pride and joy were her two daughters, whom she single-handedly raised with immense strength and determination. Through all her struggles, she shaped their futures, ensuring they became successful doctors in their own right - one in Australia, the other in Canada. But just when it was finally time for her to rest, to enjoy the fruits of her sacrifices, to be with them without the weight of responsibilities, fate cruelly took her away.
It feels so unfair - after a lifetime of giving, healing, and loving, she deserved so much more time. Losing her so soon after her mother’s passing has only deepened the sorrow, leaving us all struggling to comprehend the enormity of this loss.
Although her absence is unbearable, she will live on - through the love she shared, the lives she touched, the countless newborns she helped bring into the world, and the legacy she has left behind in her brilliant daughters.
May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah. May her loving daughters find strength in her memory and continue the legacy of excellence and compassion she instilled in them.
This loss can never be replaced, but the love Ivy Apa left behind will remain in our hearts forever."
